Program Description

Event Details

Why is wind energy taking off in Wisconsin and around the world? An educator from the Wisconsin Energy Institute at the University of Wisconsin–Madison will be visiting for a hands-on class where we’ll learn what’s exciting about wind energy and then put on our engineering hats to design, build, and test small scale wind turbines. No registration is required, but this is a program best for ages 7-12. If your child might need additional assistance, we do ask that you stay in the Firefly Room and engaged.

Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age designations and the Library's Safe Child Policy when bringing children to Library programs.
